Pursuant to Executive Order 13692, the U.S. Treasury Department ("Treasury") Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC") designated four Venezuelan Governors for "endemic corruption" and for "blocking the delivery of critical humanitarian aid." OFAC said the Governor's activities were "exacerbating the ongoing humanitarian crisis caused by the illegitimate Maduro regime."

As a result of OFAC's action, all property and interests in property of these four officials, and of any entities that are owned 50 percent or more by these individuals that are in the United States or in control of U.S. persons, are blocked and must be reported to OFAC. In addition, U.S. persons generally are prohibited from engaging in any dealings with the designated officials.
