Osceola County is considering significant increases in park impact fees for residential development. The fee increases will impact all residential development in unincorporated Osceola County as well as development within municipalities that have consented to the imposition of Osceola County park impact fees. Currently, the City of Kissimmee and the City of St. Cloud are not subject to Osceola County park impact fees. The County already has some of the highest combined impact fees in the state of Florida.

Currently, park impact fees for single family development is $923.73 per unit. The fee increases will raise this fee to $2,304.72 per unit, or nearly 150%. Multi-family will increase from $677.39 per unit to $1,117.97 per unit and mobile homes will increase from $678 .97 per unit to $1,689.66 per unit.

If adopted, the fee increases will become effective at the March 18, 2019 Osceola County Board of County Commissioners meeting. All residential building permits applied for and issued on or after July 8, 2019 will be subject to the increased park impact fees.
