The Federal Communications Commission received almost two dozen complaints about a commercial for the horror movie "Us" that ran during the Super Bowl, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Many of the complaints expressed concerns that the scary content was not appropriate for airing during the Super Bowl because of the number of young children that watch the game.  Others asked whether it was appropriate to air commercials for R-rated movies during family-friendly programming.

One complaint said, "Is this the content you want seen by the millions of children watching the game with their parents"?  Another wrote, "My 7 year-old daughter is in tears after being subjected to the commercial."

Federal laws prohibit the airing of obscene content and limit the airing of indecent or profane content to certain hours, though it's unlikely that FCC will take the position that the commercial for "Us" violates these standards.
