"The first successful private antitrust divestiture action was recently decided in Steves and Sons v. Jeld-Wen. The District Court judge held in October that Jeld-Wen Inc., an interior molded doorskin and door manufacturer, must divest itself of a Towanda, Pa., facility that it acquired in a 2012 merger with former competitor, Craftmaster Manufacturing Inc. Following a jury verdict in favor of the plaintiff, Steves and Sons Inc., and a Remedies Hearing, the court determined in its 149-page Memorandum Opinion that divestiture was the only effective way to adequately restore competition in the interior molded doorskins market."
