An April 12 article in NJ Spotlight, "Judge Orders Horizon to Let Public See Details Behind OMNIA Insurance Plan," discussed the Bergen County Superior Court's order that Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield disclose a report from McKinsey & Co. that Horizon used to determine the healthcare providers to be included in its two-tiered OMNIA plan. Day Pitney's Mike Furey was quoted in the article.

"With Judge [Robert] Contillo's decision, the public should finally have an opportunity to learn the truth behind OMNIA," Mike said. "If Horizon truly believes that healthcare is an important issue to the public, then it should stop its efforts to hide the documents that explain what happened and comply with the Court's order directing their release."

Day Pitney is representing three of the remaining plaintiff hospitals involved in this case: CentraState Medical Center in Freehold; Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck; and Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. The case, Centrastate Medical Center Inc. et al v. Horizon Healthcare Services Inc.,  is pending in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division.
