The American Institute of Architects (AIA) contracts, the most
commonly used set of construction contract forms on commercial
projects in the United States, recently released the second part of
its once-in-a-decade updates to the 2017 versions of its primary
forms.
A Client Alert was issued summarizing the changes, which are
described at length in a recent Client Alert written by Jim
Doerfler of Reed Smith's Energy and Natural Resources
Group and Allison Wickizer Toepp of our Complex
Litigation Group.
Full details on the changes to the forms used throughout
the US real estate industry can be found
