OCC Names New Deputy Comptroller For Supervision Risk Management

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ("OCC")
named Bob Phelps as Deputy Comptroller for
Supervision Risk Management, effective as of October 30, 2017. In
this role, Mr. Phelps will be chair of the OCC National Risk
Committee, where he will supervise a team that oversees emerging
and existing risks.
Currently, Mr. Phelps serves as OCC Director for Critical
Infrastructure policy. Mr. Phelps, a retired Navy Commander, has
been with the OCC since 1993. He will replace Darrin Benhart, who
will take on a new role in Large Bank Supervision in Charlotte,
North Carolina.
