Debra S. Rosen, a Partner in Archer's Environmental group, recently participated in the "Environmental Law for Attorneys & LSRPs" program which was presented by the Rutgers Office of Continuing Professional Education on February 22, 2017.

This program provided attorneys and LSRPs (Licensed Site Remediation Professionals) with the latest information on the current environmental landscape and opportunities as they relate to site remediation. The program aimed to give attorneys and LSRPs a better understanding of their roles under Federal remediation law and NJ's legal framework.

Featured topics included: Spill Act; Industrial Site Recovery Act; UST Act; SRRA and the LSRP program, including SRRA 2.0 – What's Ahead for SRP; Site Remediation Considerations of Land Use Planning; and Hot Topics – Legal Court & Licensing Board Decisions. Ms. Rosen spoke on the NJ Underground Storage Tank Act and Regulations with Phil Brilliant, LSRP, Brilliant Environmental and Chris Dwyer, NJDEP.

Ms. Rosen concentrates her practice in the area of complex environmental and toxic tort litigation and environmental due diligence and compliance with an emphasis upon the defense of groundwater contamination cases involving claims for both property damage and serious personal injury. Ms. Rosen frequently counsels clients on environmental compliance issues with a focus on Underground Storage Tank regulations and Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA) requirements and is well-versed in the new Site Remediation Reform Act and the Licensed Site Remediation Professional program. She frequently represents clients in compliance and enforcement matters with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection in the Office of Administrative Law.
