The FINRA Board of Governors elected William H. Heyman as the new Chair, effective as of July 18, 2017. Mr. Heyman, who succeeds John J. Brennan, served as a member of the FINRA Board from January 2004 through September 2016, and was SEC Director of the Division of Market Regulation (now Trading and Markets) from 1991 to 1993.
Mr. Heyman currently is Vice Chair and Chief Investment Officer of The Travelers Companies, Inc. Before moving to Travelers, he was Chair of Citigroup Investments.
