On June 17, 2016, Irving Williamson succeeded Meredith Broadbent as Chairman of the ITC. Ms. Broadbent's term expired on June 16 and the President did not appoint a successor, so Mr. Williamson became Chairman as the most senior Democrat on the Commission. Mr. Williamson has served on the Commission since February 2007 and previously served as Chairman from June 2012 to June 2014. Mr. Williamson has nearly 50 years of experience in international affairs and trade policy, including serving as Deputy General Counsel in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and manager of trade policy for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
