The SEC named Christopher Hetner, Senior Advisor for Cybersecurity Policy. Mr. Hetner will advise SEC Chair Mary Jo White on all cybersecurity policy matters. Mr. Hetner currently serves as Cybersecurity Lead for the Technology Control Program within the SEC Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations.
In his new role, Mr. Hetner will be responsible for (i) coordinating efforts across the agency to address cybersecurity policies, (ii) engaging with external stakeholders, and (iii) enhancing the SEC's mechanisms for assessing broad-based market risk.
