On April 11, the U.S. District Court for the District of
Columbia sentenced a former employee of the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission ("NRC") to 18 months in
prison after he pleaded guilty to accessing a protected computer
without authorization and intentionally damaging it by sending
emails to particular Department of Energy employees that would
install a virus on their computers upon opening it.
