Fraunhofer USA and Greentown Labs are teaming up with Shell GameChanger to bring Boston a startup acceleration program for Wireless Sensor-Actuator Network (WSAN) prototype development. Titled PROPEL, up to five selected companies will receive incubation and prototyping space at Greentown Labs, technical guidance from Fraunhofer TechBridge, exposure to industry strategic partner and investor group mentors, and up to $10,000 in non-dilutive funds. Over an intense six month period, the accelerator will challenge startups to refine their prototypes toward an integrated solution for self-powered WSANs, obtain customer feedback, and fine-tune their business models.

First round applications, which must include a description of the innovation, business model, team, value to customers, and fit for the topic, are due at 11:59pm on May 18. Ideal entries open up new possibilities for building and using self-powered nodes, networks, and intervention capabilities. Are you ready to accelerate your groundbreaking WSAN idea?
