In the July 8, 2014, Federal Register, FDA reopened the docket to
receive suggestions, recommendations, and comments on innovative
packaging, storage, and disposal systems, technologies, or designs
that could be used to prevent or deter misuse and abuse of opioid
analgesics by patients and others, originally noticed in the April
9, 2014, Federal Register. The initial comment period
had just closed on June 9, 2014. Comments are due
August 7, 2014.
