A few weeks ago I wrote an article entitled "No End in Sight for the Blame Game" which commented on the progression (or non-progression)! of the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Bill in light of Parliament's temporary suspension.

Now that Parliament has been reinstated, it was confirmed during the Queen's speech that the new Government will aim to "minimise the impact of divorce, particularly on children" thus confirming that the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Bill has been revived and placed firmly on Parliament's agenda! Perhaps the passing of the Bill will also be personally supported by our current Prime Minister in light of his impending divorce proceedings!

The revival of the Bill means that, once again, we have hope that the current timeworn law on divorce will be reformed in line with modern day society.
