We have received reports that the "SEA BAY", a 2009 built product tanker flying the Hong Kong flag, grounded and refloated on the 9th February. Although the grounding was brief, the shipowners signed a LOF salvage contract with Multraship. The ship was rapidly refloated with tug assistance.

It is expected that there will be claims for salvage. Claims for GA are also possible.

It is carrying a cargo loaded in the UK  and was bound for Antwerp and other European ports.
