Although it has been a hot and newsworthy topic for some time, there remains some doubt as to what the Northern Powerhouse really is, how it differs from devolution, and whether it needs once voice to articulate the requirements of the region.
In this, our twelfth and final issue of SuperNorth, we set out to answer these questions at a specially convened forum to discuss what has happened thus far and where do we go from here. Deloitte's Jane Boardman joined a lively debate with leading regional business figures and Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson, to discuss the much needed direction and focus on what is truly driving the North's economy. A response to questions posed by the forum is included from Northern Powerhouse Minister, James Wharton.
