Gender pay reporting will be required from 26th March 2016

Employers with at least 250 employees will need to publish a report on pay by gender within their organisation, with a potential fine for non-compliance.

National Living Wage – 1st April 2016

The new national living wage will be introduced in 2016. By April 1st 2016 employers will be required to pay the hourly rate of £7.20 to employees aged 25 or over. The National Minimum Wage will still apply to all other age groups.

The EAT will decide in early 2016 whether the Working Time Regulations can be read as being compatible with the European Union Working Time Directive, and whether or not commission that an employee would have been paid if he had not taken holiday should be included in holiday pay.
