The following article gives a summary of the communiqués by the Ministry of Trade regarding the prevention of unfair competition in imports, made between 1 November 2019 and 30 November 2019.

Investigation Announced into Imports of Textiles Woven of Strip or Similar Made of Polyethylene and Polypropylene from China and Vietnam

The General Directorate of Imports of the Ministry of Trade has decided to open a final revision investigation regarding strict measures against the in-force dumping of "textiles woven of strip or similar made of polyethylene and polypropylene (only woven tarpaulins)" under tariff codes 3921.90.60.00.11, 3921.90.60.00.13, 3926.90.92.00.19 and 3926.90.97.90.18.

Communiqué on the Prevention of Unfair Competition in Imports numbered 2019/30, which includes the investigation decision, has been published in the Official Gazette numbered 30942 on 8 November 2019, entering into effect on the same day.

Investigation Regarding Imports of "Dioctyl Terephthalate" from South Korea Ended

The investigation was initiated by General Directorate of Imports of the Ministry of Economy upon allegations that the anti-dumping measures applied in dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP) imports from South Korea under tariff code 2917.39.95.90.13 are being disabled through imports of items with the same origin described as "others" under tariff code 3812.20.90.00.00.

Following the investigation, it has been decided to apply the same anti-dumping measure rate as applied in imports of DOTP with tariff code 2917.39.95.90.13; as set forth in the table below, in the imports of "only those including dioctyl terephthalate" among the items described as "others" under tariff code 3812.20.90.00.00 imported from South Korea.

Communiqué on the Prevention of Unfair Competition in Imports numbered 2019/32 has been published in the Official Gazette numbered 30943 on 9 November 2019, entering into effect on the same day.
