Private wealth advisers, lawyers and investment managers in Shanghai and Hong Kong will have an opportunity to discuss developments within the international financial services landscape and hear about Jersey's strengths as a specialist wealth management jurisdiction at a series of events organised by Jersey Finance next month.

The two private wealth focused lunch events, which are part of Jersey Finance's Asia Roadshow 2017 programme entitled 'New Perspectives', will be held at the Ritz Carlton, Shanghai on 6th June and at the Harbour Grand Hong Kong on 8th June, from 12.30pm - 3pm.

Both events will be led by Geoff Cook, Chief Executive, Jersey Finance, and will bring together a broad spectrum of private wealth experts to explore a range of high-level topics including transparency, succession planning, philanthropy and the internationalisation of Chinese wealth. In particular, he will focus on Jersey's extensive experience in managing private wealth for international clients, meeting international standards on the Common Reporting Standard and Automatic Exchange of Information, and continued market access to the UK and EU.

Following on from the successful Roadshow program over the last three years, the events are set to attract a broad spectrum of the local advisory community, including wealth practitioners, lawyers, investment managers, and other finance professionals, and will include a light lunch and an opportunity to network.

Looking ahead to the events this summer, Geoff Cook says:

"These roadshow events in Asia have been hugely successful over the last three years, and provide an important insight into the industry for professionals of all areas of private wealth. We are delighted to be returning to both Hong Kong and Shanghai this year, and it's clear that Jersey is still a highly-respected jurisdiction for private wealth within the region."

"Over recent years we have seen a rapid growth of interest from the Asian community in Jersey's expertise in terms of how to effectively manage their private wealth. We are well placed to support the internationalization of Chinese wealth, as was highlighted in the white paper, 'The Internationalisation of Chinese Wealth – 2016', conducted by Jersey Finance and Hubbis. The events always provide a valuable platform for us to get to know the market better, and for professionals in the area to gain further insight into what Jersey can offer."
