Background

A Bill to amend The Investment Limited Partnerships Act, 1994, which governs the establishment and operation of regulated investment limited partnerships in Ireland, has just been published.

The Bill, when enacted, is expected to provide for general updates and enhancements to the existing partnership legislation, to make certain technical amendments to the Irish Collective Asset-management Vehicles Act, 2015 and to provide for related matters.

The Bill must now pass through a number of stages in both Houses of the Irish Parliament before it becomes law.

We will issue further updates as this progresses.
