The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has recently given its approval for setting up of Grid-Connected Solar PV Power Projects having capacity of more than 5,000 MW on build, own and operate basis at an estimated cost of Rs. 30,000 crores. The project is proposed to be implemented under Batch-lV (Phase-II) of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission by the Solar Power Developers with Viability Gap Funding.

The scheme will be implemented in four trenches, each of 1,250 MW capacity during 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19.
