On July 31, the PCPD submitted comments in response to the public
consultation on "Strengthening the Regulation of
Person-to-Person Telemarketing Calls." The comments outlined
the advantages and disadvantages of each several approaches to
improve the regulatory framework and recommended a fusion of
multiple approaches, including a trade-specific self-regulatory
regime and a do-not-call register.
