Guernsey Finance is recruiting for a new London Representative to continue the good work done in enhancing business connections with the capital over the last few months by Adrian Norman.

Mr Norman is moving on to pursue a new opportunity with a start-up in London, but feedback Guernsey Finance has received suggests that having a permanent presence in London has been of real value to both the promotional agency and the island's finance industry as a whole.

The successful applicant would have a remit to further promote awareness of Guernsey's finance offering, educate about Guernsey's financial services, and connect London professionals with Guernsey practitioners.

Guernsey Finance Chief Executive Dominic Wheatley said: "Adrian did an excellent job in meeting our mission of promoting and connecting Guernsey as a leading finance centre, so we are looking to put someone in place swiftly to ensure continuity and build on his good work.

"We have made significant progress in London with the establishment of partnerships with the likes of TheCityUK, and our events in the capital are always well attended.

"Experience in business development, the ability to work autonomously and adapt personal business development skills for culturally different environments and across different sectors of the finance industry are essential for this role.

"I would like to thank Adrian for the groundwork he has done that will allow us to enhance business relationships and wish him all the best for his new venture."

The London Representative will be permanently based in the capital, working from home but with access to appropriate work environments in the City for meetings, on-the-go office work, and communications during work hours.
