Carey Olsen has retained the Offshore Law Firm of the Year accolade at the prestigious The Lawyer Awards 2018. It was the third success for the firm in this category in the past five years.
The law firm, which opened its ninth international office last year in Bermuda, has secured its position in the Channel Islands and overseas in the past 12 months. Its lawyers were involved in a number of notable deals and cases over the period.
"It is a truly fantastic achievement to have won this award back-to-back. We have had another strong year in terms of growth and performance across the board and also increased our global reach with the opening of Carey Olsen Bermuda at the end of 2017," said managing partner Alex Ohlsson.
"What pleases me most is that the award is a ringing endorsement of the calibre of the legal teams and staff at Carey Olsen and recognition of their hard work and commitment to the firm and our clients.'
Partner Ben Morgan, head of the firm's corporate and finance group in Guernsey, collected the award.
More Guernsey businesses have enjoyed recent awards success. The International Stock Exchange (TISE) earned a bronze award in the marketing, business development and public relations team of the year category at the Citywealth Brand Management and Reputation Awards 2018.
