With the GDPR due to be applied from 25 May 2018, moves are
afoot to update the data protection laws applicable in Jersey and
Guernsey. The States of Guernsey are due to debate their proposed
new Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017 on 29
November 2017. The proposed Jersey laws are expected to be
published at the beginning of December 2017.
