United States: Cadwalader Adds Mark Chorazak To Financial Services Group

Mark Chorazak joined Cadwalader's New York office as a partner in the Financial Services Group.

Mr. Chorazak's practice encompasses, among other areas, Volcker Rule compliance, FinTech and financial innovation, authority and control matters, anti-money laundering, corporate governance and enforcement actions. Additionally, he advises on capital and debt offerings, and bank mergers and new charters, as well as on minority investments in bank and non-bank financial institutions by private equity firms.

Mr. Chorazak previously worked at Simpson Thacher as lead regulatory counsel on post-crisis bank mergers. He represented financial institutions on bank regulatory, transactional and compliance matters and counseled banks, thrifts, investors and other financial services firms on strategic matters and compliance issues arising under the Bank Holding Company Act, the Dodd-Frank Act and other key U.S. banking laws.
