April 17, 2019 – Canada immigration authorities have conducted a new Express Entry draw, issuing 3,350 Invitations to Apply for permanent residence.

The April 17, 2019 draw saw a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 451, exactly the same as the previous round of invitations.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has now issued ITAs to 27,900 candidates in 2019, against a high-skilled immigration intake target of 81,400.

Canada's immigration ministry broke the record for annual Express Entry ITAs in 2018 with 89,800.

This was the eighth round of invitations under  Express Entry in 2019 and  115th overall.

The draw saw the tie-breaking rule implemented on April 2, 2019 at just after 11am EST. If more than one candidate had the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
