The BC Supreme Court, after determining that an investor's claim for trading losses was an appropriate matter for summary judgment, dismissed the $400m lawsuit. The plaintiff was a well experienced investor who played the market and suffered during a downturn. Ultimately, the plaintiff was found to have had responsibility over his trades, and his claims of breach of fiduciary duty, concealment, fraud, and breach of trust were found to be without merit.
