For some, this message may seem like it is saying, well, nothing... but for us, it is something. Something that means one of two things: 1) we have found the secret in making nothing newsworthy; or, 2) there is actually something within this nothingness. We like to think it's the latter.

We're now known solely as Moodys Gartner Tax Law.

Yes, we are formally hanging the Moodys Tax Advisors hat of hybrid entities and now operating as one simplified entity – Moodys Gartner Tax Law. It was getting lonely in that hybrid box, and we decided to bring our true pioneering spirit out to play with the law firms. But as the saying goes – 'never forget where you came from' – and we don't intend to. Our foundation remains, and we are still the same team of dedicated lawyers and Chartered Accountants working together to benefit you, our valued clients.

What has always made us unique is our ability to change with the times, and our harmonious marriage of lawyers and accountants (some might call us swingers). Although we have had much marital bliss over the years, the truth is, sometimes the rules and regulations don't make our marriage easy. Divorce was not an option, so we turned a challenge into an opportunity. So, when you see our new lettering on the doors, know that we have not changed on the inside. Our marriage is as stable as ever.

Until the notion of the swinging lifestyle of lawyers and accountants is more widely accepted, we will continue to successfully pioneer our way forward. Our expansion into Edmonton and Vancouver in the last year and our new service offering of tax litigation makes our marriage even stronger. On top of that we continue to add strength in Canadian and US cross-border tax advisory services and estate planning.

Okay, so really, nothing has changed. We've always wanted to practice tax with accountants and lawyers – in Canada, the US, or both – and we still do.

We invite you to contact us at any point if you're interested in our "nothingness." We'd love to hear from you!

Moodys Gartner Tax Law is only about tax. It is not an add-on service, it is our singular focus. Our Canadian and US lawyers and Chartered Accountants work together to develop effective tax strategies that get results, for individuals and corporate clients with interests in Canada, the US or both. Our strengths lie in Canadian and US cross-border tax advisory services, estateplanning, and tax litigation/dispute resolution. We identify areas of risk and opportunity, and create plans that yield the right balance of protection, optimization and compliance for each of our clients' special circumstances.
