On November 17, 2012, the Regulations Amending the Canada Industrial Relations Board Regulations, 2001 will be pre-published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, for a fifteen (15) day consultation period.

If you are a federally regulated employer, the Canada Labor Code and its related regulations, including the Canada Industrial Relations Board Regulations, 2001 (the "Regulations"), applies to you.  As you may know, the Regulations set out the rules applicable to proceedings with theCanada Industrial Relations Board including, applications relating to bargaining rights, unfair labour practice complaints and applications for the declaration of an unlawful strike or lock-out. 

Interested persons are invited to consult the Canada Gazette website, under Part I, to view the amendments that are being made to the Regulation and are invited to make any comments and feedback during the consultation period of fifteen (15) days.
