There are only 15 business days remaining until the Export Market Development Grant (EMDG) program closes.

If you think you've missed the boat on making a claim under the Federal Government's EMDG program, we have some good news, but you have to act fast. The program is still available for claimants who lodge through Austrade Approved EMDG consultants, such as Glasshouse Advisory, however there are only 15 business days left before the 2017 program closes forever.

The EMDG program has helped thousands of Australian businesses in their efforts to market their products, services and intellectual property overseas. The program refunds Australian businesses up to 50% of eligible overseas marketing expenditure, above the first $5,000 of expenses. The maximum grant payable each grant period is $150,000, however with 8 export grants available, this could see your business recoup up to $1.2 million in eligible overseas marketing expenses.

While the period for self-lodged EMDG applications has closed, Glasshouse Advisory are approved EMDG consultants and as such, can lodge 2017 EMDG applications up to the final deadline of 28 February this year. For first year applicants, the 2017 EMDG application covers eligible expenses paid in the period 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2017. For all other applicants, expenses can be claimed for the period 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017.

The opportunity to claim for expenses paid in these periods will soon expire.
