When, What, Why and How to be "opportunity ready"

Whether in the wine industry or other, there are Grants, Market Support and Contacts available to help business grow and take advantage of opportunities. It's hard to be aware of all the opportunities. All too often we see businesses not being truly ready to act on these opportunities.

WineTech is the flagship Wine Industry Trade show run by Wine Industry Suppliers Australia Inc (WISA). Tim Siebert was invited to join leading industry speakers from Wine Australia, Austrade and Trade Start, presenting on capturing opportunities for export and investment.

Whilst a wine industry event, the theme was consistent.

Wine Australia and Austrade discussed the markets and their initiatives including the Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) and the anticipated impact of both China and Korean free trade agreements.

Export partnership programs, strategy support, network contacts, tradeshows, financial assistance and grants were all covered by TradeStart while Tim focused on being "opportunity ready".

Structure, financial goals, management, succession, reporting and eventually exit are all important matters that need planning.

Slides from the day can be found here - contact Tim on 8205 6230 to discuss the opportunities and being business ready.
