John E. Smith, Director of the U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC"), will leave his position in early May.

Mr. Smith was named Acting Director of OFAC in February 2015 and was formally appointed as Director in March 2017. During an 11-year career with OFAC, he also served as Deputy Director and Associate Director.

Deputy Director Andrea M. Gacki, who has been with OFAC for ten years, will assume the position of Acting Director upon Mr. Smith's departure.
