The CFTC renewed the Agricultural Advisory Committee ("AAC"). The notice of renewal was published in the Federal Register. The CFTC explained that the AAC's objectives and scope of activities are specifically designed to assist the CFTC in assessing issues affecting agricultural producers, processors, lenders and others interested in, or affected by, the agricultural commodity derivatives markets.
The AAC will continue to operate for two years from the date of renewal unless the Commission directs that the AAC terminate on an earlier date.
