Carey Olsen has retained its place as the top ranking offshore law firm for London Stock Exchange (LSE) listed clients for the last ten years, according to the latest Corporate Adviser Rankings Guide, signalling a great start to 2016 for the global offshore law firm.

The Corporate Adviser Rankings, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, is published each quarter and contains details of institutional advisers and their clients.

With more than 90 LSE listed clients, Carey Olsen advises more than twice that of the nearest offshore law firm. The firm continues to lead the FTSE250, AIM and financial sector tables for offshore law firms as well as ranking highly in the basic materials, consumer services, industrials and oil and gas sectors.

The ranking follows figures released by the Association of Investment Companies showing that Carey Olsen advised on more listings of Guernsey and Jersey domiciled investment funds on the LSE than any other offshore law firm in 2015.

The Guernsey corporate team's high-profile work included advising on the launches of Alternative Liquidity Fund Limited and Apax Global Alpha Limited on the LSE's Main Market together with the launches of UK Mortgages Limited and GLI Alternative Finance on the Specialist Fund Market (SFM). In Jersey, the firm advised on the Main Market IPO of Project Finance Investments Limited which raised £106 million.

Carey Olsen partner and head of the corporate group in Guernsey, Graham Hall, said: "Carey Olsen has built a strong position as the market leader for advising listed clients offshore and for this recognition to continue is very rewarding.

"We have one of the largest offshore corporate and commercial teams, giving us the depth and expertise to advise on all types of FTSE-related matters for a range of clients."

The firm was also recognised as the leading legal adviser to investment funds across the Channel Islands according to the Monterey Insight Fund Survey for 2015, as well as receiving top tier status for its corporate practice area in the IFLR1000 directories.
