Davies Collison Cave (DCC) Singapore Senior Associate Dr Kian Hoe Khoo has been appointed as a member of the standing committee of Biotechnology (Pharma and Biotechnology sub-committee) for AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property) on 26 August 2019.

The impressive appointment is a testament to Kian Hoe's prolific career in IP in the fields of biotechnology, molecular biology and life sciences. Graduated from the Imperial College in London with First Class Honours, he was then awarded a PhD in Protein Engineering for the biophysical studies on the p53 tumour suppressor protein at the University of Cambridge. Kian Hoe has previously worked as a cancer researcher at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). He has also taught at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine as an adjunct lecturer.
