DQ is pleased to announce that two of its associates, Libby Gordon and Adam Killip, have recently been appointed as notaries.

A notary public is an officer appointed by the Isle of Man Courts. The notary's role is varied in nature, but largely consists of authenticating and certifying signatures and documents for use abroad.

Examples of the service DQ can provide include:-

  • witnessing signatures on powers of attorney in relation to dealing with property abroad;
  • swearing a statutory statement or affidavit; and
  • confirming a passport by providing a certified copy of the original.

As part of our service, we are happy to arrange for documents to be apostilled by the Isle of Man Courts.

Libby and Adam are also Commissioners for Oaths and are authorised to administer oaths and declarations on documents such as affidavits and probate applications.
