Hassans International Law Firm is delighted to announce that it has recently become the first Gibraltar member of the International Financial Centres (IFC) Forum.

The IFC Forum, which is widely regarded as the foremost industry group, is a multi-jurisdictional, private sector organisation. Its members meet regularly to discuss issues affecting the IFC industry, and engages with the UK Government, the governments of the G20 countries, the OECD and the FATF to advance and represent these interests.

The membership of the IFC Forum is a veritable 'who's who' of the major players of the industry, including Appleby, Attride-Stirling & Woloniecki, Bedell Group, Butterfield Group, Conyers Dill & Pearman, Harneys, Intertrust, Maples & Calder, Mourant Ozannes, Ogier, Rawlinson & Hunter, Walkers and Vistra Group.

The Forum is chaired by Steve Meiklejohn of Jersey-based Ogier with Richard Hay of Stikeman Elliott's London office acting as general counsel. The Forum is also advised by the strategic consultancy firm Lansons.

Partner Ian Felice, who is also Chief Executive of Line Group, Hassans' affiliated trust and corporate services arm, will be Hassans' principal participant in the work of the Forum. Ian commented:
